March 3, 2020
Four of 14 company drivers who service the greater Dayton area went on strike yesterday, March 2, 2020. Mikesell’s has bargained in good faith with the drivers’ Union, but Teamsters representatives have told us that they see no further reason to meet.
We want to assure our customers and consumers that the Mikesell’s Snack Food Company remains open for business, and we do not expect the strike to impede our operations. To that point, all routes that are serviced out of our Dayton distribution center are running normally today and are currently staffed either by incumbent route drivers who crossed the picket line or by replacement workers or supervisors.
We want our customers and consumers to know that we have appropriate plans in place to avoid and/or correct potential service interruptions—should any occur—in order to provide the level of service and product quality they have come to expect.
