COVID-19 Preparedness at Mikesell's Snack Food Co

As we closely monitor the COVID-19 virus progression, Mikesell's Snack Food Company would like to assure our customers, consumers, and stakeholders that we are taking all appropriate precautions to ensure a safe, quality product and little to no interruption in the service and distribution of our products.

We have reiterated to our employees and vendors that practicing proper hygiene and sanitation procedures is essential. As an SQF Level 2 certified facility, many of the required procedures are already a part of our daily routine. Additionally, we are employing these additional precautionary measures as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Public Health of Dayton and Montgomery County:

  • Regularly cleaning and disinfecting high touch points, especially those that come in contact with food.
  • Encouraging (even more strongly) hygiene practices like frequent hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes with sleeve or one-use tissue.
  • We also encourage employees and vendors to stay home if feeling sick.

Product Safety
According to both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization, coronaviruses are spread from person-to-person and there is currently no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food.

We realize that this situation is continually developing and the Mikesell's Team will continue to assure the safety of all those that count on them.
